If your child or young person has recently received a new diagnosis, or if their school has told you they will be receiving SEN (Special Educational Needs) support, you can now book a Next Steps Meeting with us to get advice and support.
This isn’t a brand-new service — RIASS has always supported families with information and advice across all areas of SEN — but we are now offering Next Step Meetings as a structured way to guide you through what happens next.
What is a Next Step Meeting?
A Next Step Meeting is a one-to-one session with a RIASS adviser. You can choose how you would like to meet:

In the meeting, we will:
At the end of the meeting, we will create a clear plan together, based on your needs and priorities. We will also offer you a follow-up meeting about six weeks later, to check in and offer further support if needed. And, as always, you can contact RIASS at any time — you don’t have to wait for the review.
