Our Mental Health Support Team is made up of Educational Psychologists (EPs), Assistant Educational Psychologists (AEPs), and Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs). EMHPs deliver evidence-based early intervention for children, young people and parents/carers in educational settings.
Our service provides a range of brief, evidence-based interventions to support children and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood and/or behavioural difficulties.
We work directly with students in secondary schools and with parents of primary age pupils. Our interventions involve weekly sessions with an Educational Mental Health Practitioner lasting 6-8 weeks.
Involvement of the Mental Health Support Team can only happen with parental consent. If you become involved with the MHST, we will meet with your child first to better understand your concerns and share more information about the support we offer.
