RIASS Redbridge
Our free online Parent Training sessions have been created especially for our parents and carers. We aim to provide up to date information about topics relevant to you and also to give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
All sessions are held via Zoom and are usually around 2 hours long. To book a place please book via Eventbrite.
This information session will explain what should an EHC Plan look like. This session will be useful If your child or young person has an EHC Plan or if you are considering applying for a need’s assessment.

This session will provide information on how to apply for an EHC Plan, the Needs Assessment Process and Co-production meetings. We will also look at who can apply and when you should apply.

This session explains how an Annual Review should be held, what makes a good Annual Review, outcomes and provisions. This will be helpful to parents with children or young people with an EHCP already in place.

In this session we will look at the concerns and fears of parent & carers when attending meetings and how to best approach them to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.

This session is different to the "Choosing the School Sessions" we hold jointly with the local authority. In this session we will look at points to consider when visiting schools and questions to ask.

This session will be held jointly with Redbridge SEND PFA team and cover what is PFA, how this is implemented within LBR, and a Q & A session

This session will be held jointly with Children with Disabilities Team (CWDT) and will discuss the legal criteria on accessing support from social care, the types of support and the referral process.

This session will be held jointly with Redbridge SEN Team and will discuss requesting a school (EHCP), types of school, visiting schools, choosing the right school and legal information on your rights.
